Dexter Jackson

Also known as “The Blade”, Dexter Jackson is one of the most reputable body builders in the world – even at the age of 43. He lives in Jacksonville in Florida where he lives with his wife, dedicating all of his time to being an IFB professional body builder.

Diet

At 5 ft 6 and 215lbs as his on-season weight, Dexter knows that food is the fuel that every body builder needs to get ripped and truly huge. Although he has admitted that he loves Chinese and Italian food in the past, he has a good metabolism and has admitted for dieting only 7 weeks prior to a contest. He is a big believer in eating lots of steak and has said that he avoids fish and chicken as they cause him to lose weight. He also eats a moderate amount of carbs (he says no more than 200g per day) and sticks to rice and sweet potato.

Training

Jackson is happy to admit that his favourite body parts include his glutes, hamstrings and his back but he really loves working his chest and triceps. Although he doesn’t like working his calves, Jackson along with every other pro body builder out there will know the importance of paying attention to every muscle group, no matter how much you hate that particular exercise.

Jackson, unlike other body builders doesn’t hit the gym 6 days a week but instead opts for plenty of rest days and trains for only 1hr 15 minutes for 3 days in the week. Other body builders may find that this isn’t enough, but Dexter Jackson is obviously doing something right with his fantastic list of sporting achievements.
